Ballet Teatro Internacional (IBT) is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit Dance company headquartered in Washington We operate aa a dance company that also offers an outreach program in the Washington, DC area and Latin America. The company performs classical and contemporary ballet, modern dance, and aerial dance.

For over four years, the International Ballet Theater (formerly known as United Broadway) has developed cultural exchange programs in the realm of dance that promote the exchange of culture through arts. In Central America, IBT has built partnerships with dance artists, musicians, arts managers, arts institutions, government agencies and other dance companies to foster exchange in the arts and mutual understanding of cultures. It is this desire to continue spreading culture.

IBT’s international exchange mission is fueled by the belief that dance artists have the ability to reach across geographic, linguistic and cultural borders, inspiring each other, advancing mutual understanding among their communities, and in some cases, transcending political and social ills. As the United States is at the center of the artistic arena, because of its high visibility in the media, the culture of America has the ability to inspire and transcend vision and communication. Through workshops, master classes, performances, and reaching out to area youth, IBT aims to bring American culture, history and traditions, through dance, to Central America.
