We are a dance institute created to generate transformational Dance training programs. Our mission is to use the power of music and dance to break down the barriers between young people, as we tap into their power to believe in themselves
The program serves students who are between ages 12 and 17 at the beginning date of the program in the D.C metro area and Latin America. What we provide for them? We provide transformational Dance training programs using the power of dance to enhance their health, aspirations, achievements, skills and life chances.
BTI runs three initiatives:
Partnerships program
Is a eight week program in beginner level of dance training in Modern Dance. The programs curriculum includes technique classes, Choreography and composition, stretching and alignment, Nutrition and Anatomy applied to Dance and a performance opportunity.
International cultural Exchange
International Cultural Exchange offers young people the adventure of a lifetime. Students will participate in a two-week cultural exchange program in Latin America and will join BTI’s cast at Latin America’s most prestigious performing venues, for daily technique classes, rehearsals, and a joint performance at the closing gala concert. They will learn about Latin American culture and dance forms, tour the city, attend weekend performing arts events, and meet with local dance students from BTI’s outreach Dance programs abroad and local dignitaries promoting a peaceful world by increasing international awareness and understanding through cultural sharing experiences.
IBT Dance Outreach community program
IBT Dance Outreach community program is dedicated to providing funds to offer Dance Scholarships for students with academic, social and domestic challenges—criteria that often determine a child's risk of dropping out of school, risk to violence and drugs, among others in the U.S and Latin America. The scholarship awarded students come to the sites to receive the program with the site school students at no cost.
